Go Back to the Nature

So far, I have talked a lot about self-improvement, so today I want to try something different. Nowadays, we are surrounded by people, advanced technologies, and various temptations every day. Sometimes the busy life makes us breathless, but right now it’s time to go back to the nature.

You are always in a hurry to go to work or class in the morning because you do not want to be late. Even if the time for class or work is not too early, most of you usually will not get up until that time. When you are driving or walking, you only focus on the road instead of the scenery on both sides. Sometimes you may still get angry easily from the beginning of a day just because it is so hard to find the parking space.

You are always in a hurry to go home after a day’s work or class because you are so tired that you cannot wait to relax yourself, or maybe you have to complete a lot of homework or extra duties. In this case, you hope you can spend the least time on the way.

According to The Guardian, “The more high-tech our lives become, the more nature we need.” It seems that you are outside for a long time every day; however, you do not connect with the nature at all. You play phones, use computers and watch televisions. Being intimate with the nature will help you stay away from trifles for a while and get energy quickly.

Michael Knowles in “Sound of Nature: People Become More Calm When They Hear Natural Sounds” writes, “Natural sounds like waves crashing, wind in a hedgerow and a thunderstorm prompted an outward-directed focus of attention; when listening to artificial sounds, the brain connectivity reflected an inward-directed focus of attention, similar to states observed in anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression.”

Going back to the nature won’t be very difficult, and it just needs you to pay attention to the nature. Stay in your bedroom, close your eyes, and hear the nature carefully. The sound of wind, birds, rain and other things all can offer you a special experience. When you focus on the nature, it has the magic to let you calm down and help you find the inner peace.

“Connecting People to Nature” is the theme for World Environment Day in 2017. Everyone should attach importance to the nature and get into it to appreciate its beauty. Changes happen every day. If you lose the opportunity, it will not come back.
